These Victorian Era handpainted flambeau plates from Limoges always have such delicate and soft palette. This piece is no exception! It has a lovely scalloped edge, that has almost all of the original gold gilding!
A lovely little still-life of a pair of freshly picked apples or pears. Signed "Jean" in the bottom right corner. (Potentially Jean Pouyat) I am certain I have seen this shape from that factory.
The only stamp that exists on the plate is the LDBC Limoges stamp, which is for an old importer in NYC. No specific factory stamp present.
There's minimal amounts of wear to this 120ish year old plate, but it only adds some character. There is one tiny fleabite on the foot of the plate I have pictured; otherwise there are no chips, cracks, crazing, etc. of any kind!
